“Joseph A. Rosen is a freelance photographer based in New York City. In addition to an impressive resume of commercial and editorial photography work, Rosen is perhaps best known for his music photography. Over the course of a career spanning more than four decades, Joe has photographed American music legends such as B.B. King, Cab Calloway, Muddy Waters, James Brown, Fats Domino, and Dizzy Gillespie, to name but a few, and his images have graced the covers of over thirty albums. Today, Joe continues to work with many of the greatest names in music – with a focus in Americana, blues, jazz, R&B, soul, Cajun, and zydeco – as well as major record companies, and music publications. Joe is also highly sought after for commercial and editorial photography projects, with work appearing in publications such as Newsweek, The New York Times, and Sports Illustrated, and notable clientele including Morgan Stanley, American Express, United Airlines, and JP Morgan Chase.” – Excerpt from josepharosen.com
Joseph A. Rosen is one of the Premiere blues Photographers in the world. His work is featured heavily in the Delta Blue Museum in Clarksdale Mississippi. He has an expansive portfolio of photographs and needed an eCommerce website to sell them on. He also needed somewhere to promote and sell his new book Blues Hands. This website posed an interesting challenge as Rosen’s portfolio was so extensive it meant that building out his eCommerce store quickly and efficiently would require some innovation on our part. Luckily our experiments yielded fruit and we got this web design project finished in a reasonable amount of time.
Working on websites for Photographers is always fun. Joseph’s site proved to be challenging and pushed us to develop new schools and be better web designers all around. I am so happy to have worked with Joseph A. Rosen and hope his site serves him well in the future.
